Coverage

Where we work

Seventeen cities and towns, each with its own page, because a Chelsea produce warehouse and a Dedham ice machine on seven-grain well water have almost nothing in common beyond needing something cold.

Core coverage

CityWhat is distinctive about the work there
BostonFive or six different service areas in one city, North End access, Longwood dock rules, Seaport event traffic, Chinatown rear alleys
ChelseaThe New England Produce Center and the wholesale corridor. Overnight work, large charges, EPA leak-rate obligations
EverettEncore, the Mystic View food logistics cluster, and half the legacy of the old Boston Market Terminal
CambridgeKendall Square lab and ULT refrigeration alongside dense restaurant work in the squares
SomervilleCommissary and shared kitchens, plus new lab cold storage at Boynton Yards
QuincyThe Hancock Street Asian grocery corridor, live tanks, long display runs, heavy walk-in load
BrooklineCoolidge Corner kosher kitchens running separate meat and dairy refrigeration lines

Wider service area

Same technicians, same 24-hour line, same day. These ten sit outside the core same-hour zones but inside the service area, and several of them have water chemistry that changes how their equipment has to be maintained.

CityWhat is distinctive about the work there
RevereShirley Avenue markets and halal butchery, Squire Road grocery volume, and a beachfront that swings hard with the season
MedfordInstitutional rather than independent: a 120,000 sq ft supermarket, Tufts dining, Station Landing hotels
MaldenThe densest independent operator base we cover. Live seafood tanks, boba, late kitchens, and no downtown loading zones
WatertownArmenian open deli cases on Mount Auburn Street, and 2.9 million sq ft of life-science space on Arsenal Street
NewtonThirteen village centers instead of a downtown, certified kosher kitchens, and the strictest parking rules in the area
WalthamMoody Street restaurant row, two university dining systems, twelve hotels, and a licensed meat-aging room
WoburnBlends its own Horn Pond well water at 62 ppm. The one town where an ice machine fault really can be the water
NeedhamRoughly seventy per cent local wells at 69 ppm, and a hardness that moves with the blend
DedhamNo MWRA water at all. Around 127 ppm, about eight times Boston. Filtration is not optional here
FraminghamBrazilian meat markets and padarias on Concord Street, the Golden Triangle, and a level crossing that decides response time

Water hardness is not the same across this map

This is the single most useful thing we can tell you about the service area, and almost nobody gets told it. Most of Greater Boston drinks MWRA water, which is genuinely soft. Three of the towns we cover do not, and their ice machines pay for it.

Water supplyMeasured hardnessRoughly, in grains
Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Chelsea, Everett, Quincy, Revere, Medford, Malden, Watertown, Newton, Waltham, Framingham (MWRA)About 15 mg/L0.9
Woburn (53% MWRA, 47% Horn Pond wells)About 62 ppm3.6
Needham (30% MWRA, 70% own wells)About 69 ppm4.0
Dedham (no MWRA water, Dedham-Westwood wells)About 127 ppm7.4

A filter cartridge and a cleaning interval set for Boston water will not survive a Dedham year. If your machines keep scaling and nobody has ever mentioned this to you, that is the conversation to have before you replace another one.

If you are not on the list

Call and ask. We would rather tell you honestly that you are outside our range than take the job and arrive too late to be any use to you.

Common questions

How far out do you go?
Framingham is the furthest regular run at roughly nineteen miles from Boston. Beyond that we would rather be honest about the timing than take an emergency call we cannot serve well.
Why does each city have its own page?
Because the work genuinely differs. Dedham water is about eight times harder than Boston water, Malden has no downtown loading zones, Newton bans overnight street parking for four months of the year. A page that only swapped the city name would be worth nothing to you.
My town is not on either list. Can you still come?
Call and ask. Sometimes yes, depending on what has failed and when. We would rather give you a straight answer in thirty seconds than send a van that arrives too late to save your product.
