About
About us
We service commercial refrigeration across Greater Boston, and we answer the phone at any hour. That second part is most of what separates us from the alternative when something fails at midnight.
Answered live, 24/7 (617) 938-5404What we are
- EPA 608 Universal certified. The Universal certification covers small appliances, high-pressure and low-pressure systems, the full range of commercial refrigeration work
- Fully insured, with a certificate of insurance available on request for vendor onboarding
- Commercial equipment only. We do not do residential appliance work and will tell you so rather than send someone
- Answered live, 24 hours a day, every day of the year
What we will not do
It is worth being direct about this, because the industry has a reputation and it is not entirely undeserved.
- We will not quote a repair over the phone. A number given before anyone has seen the equipment is either padded or about to change
- We will not sell you a replacement you do not need. If the box has years left we will say so, and we would rather do the repair
- We will not promise an arrival time we cannot hold. You will get a realistic answer on the call, not the one designed to end the conversation
- We will not take a job outside what we should be doing. If your rooftop unit belongs with a licensed HVAC contractor, we will tell you before dispatching anyone
How we work
Diagnosis before parts. A great many refrigeration failures get “fixed” by replacing the component that failed, without establishing what killed it, which is why the same customer calls back in eighteen months with the same fault. A compressor that died because of a fouled condenser and a broken defrost is a symptom, and replacing it alone buys you a repeat.
Readings recorded, not remembered. Superheat, subcooling, pressures and amp draw go on the record so there is something to compare against next time. For contract customers that becomes a trend line, and a trend line is how you catch a failure months before it happens.
Where we work
Core coverage across Boston, Chelsea, Everett, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline and Quincy, with the wider service area taking in Revere, Medford, Malden, Watertown, Newton, Waltham, Woburn, Needham, Dedham and Framingham. If you are outside it we will tell you plainly rather than send a truck that arrives too late to be useful.
